Are you planning to work for us in the EU?
We are a small IT team that, including you, consists of three people. Your role will be to work alongside two principal software engineers. The work is very hands-on. No one will tell you what to do — you are expected to take initiative and responsibility on your own, after the daily morning meeting. Is this a role you genuinely want to take on?
How many years experience do you have working as a DevOps with AWS?
Do you have experience in leading a project or team?
Do you have experience using Kafka?
As part of the DevOps work, we also automate through programming and coding. This is part of the job profile. We mainly use Python and Rust, and we also have a developer who works in next.js via an agency. Are you able to develop code in the backend as DevOps?
Have you achieved something that makes you stand out from all other applicants in terms of software development and education (won competitions, excellent grades in school)?
How many years of experience do you have in observability (logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting)?
How many years of experience do you have in backup and restore of services, including conducting fire drills?
It is not necessary to work at weekends or in shifts, as no critical infrastructure is provided for our company. But if there is an emergency, either the changes to be made should be well documented so that one of the colleagues is able to act, or there should be the possibility of being available if something really critical happens. Question: Is this feasible and realisable for you?
How many years of experience do you have configuring and improving CI processes based on GitLab, including the use of Jenkins?
How many years of experience do you have working with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)?
How many years of experience do you have working with relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch)?
Please rate your English language skills (B1 = Intermediate proficiency , B2 = Independent language use, C1 = Advanced proficiency, C2 = Near-native proficiency)
If you are not located in Germany: Could you work with a Freelance business or B2B working contract?
